QRCheck Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how CAEN Inc. handles user information in the iOS app QRCheck.
Basic Policy
QRCheck is an iOS utility for checking the contents of QR codes and barcodes before opening them.
CAEN Inc. does not collect, store, sell, or share names, email addresses, phone numbers, location information, advertising identifiers, device identifiers for tracking, or usage analytics data through QRCheck.
Scanned Data
QRCheck reads code contents on the device using the camera or an image selected by the user.
Scanned contents are displayed on the device for review. QRCheck does not prefetch URLs, send scanned contents to a server, or analyze them with external services.
Normal scan history, notes, favorites, and settings may be stored on the device for app convenience.
Sensitive contents such as Wi-Fi passwords and otpauth data for authenticator apps are not automatically saved to history.
Permissions Requested by the App
QRCheck may request the following permissions only to provide its features.
- Camera: Used to scan QR codes and barcodes.
- Photo selection: Used to read QR codes and barcodes from images selected by the user.
QR Code Generation
QRCheck can generate QR codes on the device from text, contact details, and other input provided by the user.
Generated contents and images are not sent to CAEN servers unless the user explicitly chooses to copy or share them through another app.
Accounts, Advertising, and Tracking
QRCheck does not require account registration or login.
QRCheck does not include advertising, third-party analytics SDKs, or tracking technologies.
Transmission to Third-Party Services
QRCheck does not send scanned contents, generated contents, camera footage, selected images, or usage information to third-party services.
If you use a share button, the handling of shared content is governed by the terms and privacy policy of the selected destination app or service.
Children's Privacy
QRCheck does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to This Policy
CAEN Inc. may update this Privacy Policy when app features, legal requirements, or operational needs change. The updated policy will be posted on this page.
